Delhi has been given many names – “dilli dilwalo ki, craziest city, loud city, noisy city, dirty city, polluted city, happening city”- and though sometimes I agree with its associations, the city surely has its own charm.
You have to visit the city to experience its charm, culture, street food, and vibrancy.

The city offers something for everyone – be it tourist places/monuments, markets for shopping, food streets, almost anything one wants. I have visited all the places multiple times, but still whenever i visit them, it always shows me something new, the side which I didn’t notice earlier.
This post suggests things to do or see (as one can get details about a place anywhere by simply typing the name), and it is based on my decades-long experience.
Snapshop of Things to Do in Delhi

All the places are worth visiting to experience the true essence of the city. My personal favorites include Lotus Temple, India Gate, Qutub Minar, and Akshardham Temple.
Read in detail more about each destination in my blog: The Capital Delhi.
You can travel the city through Metro, Taxi services (Uber/Ola), and government-run HoHo buses. All these public transport options are safe.
Try it out yourself and see! If you would like to know more about the city, I am happy to guide you.
