Unexplored Lansdowne, Uttrakhand, India

It was the last week of Nov, and we were sitting and casually discussing. Suddenly, we realized it is our anniversary next week. It has been 12 years of togetherness, but we did survive with each other. We had all the drama, kittle, arguments, care, and love over the years, but we grew strong. We had our ups and downs, but we always had each other’s back. And we became friends first and then life partners. The journey of all these years of kinship thought of celebrating it. but were not sure due to covid-19 situation. We had all the … Continue reading Unexplored Lansdowne, Uttrakhand, India

Story of 3 Moms n 3 Kids – Kanatal – Dhanaulti (Part 2)

Day 3: Dhanaulti The story “Story of 3 Moms n 3 Kids (Part 1)” continuous with Day 3 at Dhanaulti. Post breakfast, we were a little confused regarding staying for 1 more night in Kanatal (remember we already had the booking for 3 nights) or going to Haridwar and finding a hotel there and staying for a night to break our 12-hour road journey to 5 hours. After a lot of discussion and debate, we decided to check out from Kanatal Resort. And book a hotel for one night in Haridwar or Rishikesh (depending upon the timings). We first went … Continue reading Story of 3 Moms n 3 Kids – Kanatal – Dhanaulti (Part 2)

Uttrakhand, The Lake District: Nainital, Naukuchaital, Sattal, Bhimtal

Nanital | Naukuchaital | Sattal | Bhimtal Nainital, known as the “Lake District of Uttarakhand”, is one of the most popular hill stations in India, especially for Northern India – it serves as a weekend gateway tourist destination. I always wanted to visit this place for two reasons: one, it is a beautiful place, and second, it is near to Delhi. Generally, people tend to visit those places that are far away and ignore the places that are nearby, thinking they can travel to these places anytime. And nearby places always get ignored as taken-for-granted destinations. We went there in … Continue reading Uttrakhand, The Lake District: Nainital, Naukuchaital, Sattal, Bhimtal

Adventure Capital of India: Rishikesh

The trip to Rishikesh was one of my best adventures and cherished trips. Not only was it well arranged/planned, but it was also my last trip as a bachelorette (before getting married) with friends. We were a group of 5 mad people (3 girls & 2 guys). We started our journey early in the morning, at around 6 am, in our own vehicle from Delhi to avoid city traffic. When I look back now, it is very easy to plan things when one is single, with family. A lot of factors have to be considered while traveling, especially with kids. It … Continue reading Adventure Capital of India: Rishikesh

Ancient Historial Town, Neemrana, Rajasthan, India

Neemrana is the place where I wanted to go from the day I heard about Flying Fox Adventure. It was the major attraction for me to visit this place. So I was after my husband’s life to go there over a weekend….. We went in Mar, which is not a good season to travel as the day gets quite hot. Luckily, the weather was pleasant during our visit to this place. We preferred to drive down in our own car and stayed here for 1 night, 2 days. It was a 3-hour drive. We reached the hotel at around 1 … Continue reading Ancient Historial Town, Neemrana, Rajasthan, India

Agra: City Of Taj Mahal, Uttar Pradesh, India

Agra || Fatehpur- Sikri Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, is one of the most popular places people visit from all corners of the world. It would not be wrong to say that Agra is a synonym for the Taj Mahal. The city is famous because of this spectacular monument, the Taj Mahal – the 7th Wonder of the World. I have seen this place many times. And I must say it is not on the list of places where I would like to go again and again. A one-time visit is good enough for me. Living in the Nest – Tree House, Jaipur, India

Tree House – as the name suggests, is living up on the tree-top. I never thought of any such idea until my husband suggested going to this place called Tree House Resort.  It’s located at Nature Farms in the Syari Valley on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. We went to this place in 2010. At that time, it was a new construction & the concept of living on the trees was pretty new in India. Now this place is very well-known & visited by tourists across India. We went there to relax by taking a short break from our routine lives. I never … Continue reading Living in the Nest – Tree House, Jaipur, India
