The museum t has 3 blocks: Denon, Sully and Richelieu. Most of the popular art pieces among visitors are in Denon block, followed by Sully. Richelieu block is popular for Egyptian mummies and walls.

Here is a list of the top 6 masterpieces/artwork based on their popularity and history, which one should visit, especially if one has a limited time period.

1. Mona Lisa

Level 1- Denon Block – 711

This painting of the Mona Lisa hanging on a huge wall is the most popular among visitors. There is a huge waiting time to see this artwork. Mona Lisa had the best smile as per the history. My personal opinion for this artwork is – this painting is overrated, there are many other outstanding paintings and sculpture in the museum which are underrated.

But it is definitely a must-see painting.
