My personal opinion for this artwork is – this painting is overrated, there are many other outstanding paintings and sculpture in the museum which are underrated.
But it is definitely a must see painting.

2. Venus De Milo
Level 0 – Sully Block – 345
This Greek sculpture is popularly believed to represent Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, who was known to the Romans as Venus. It is a beautiful peice.
3. Wing Victory of Samothrace
Level 1- Denon Block – 703
This is one of the most impressive artwork of ancient Greece.
4. Egyptian Mummy
Level 1- Richelieu Block – 321
This is the only preserved Mummy of Egyptian Antiquities in the museum. A must see.

5. The Coronation of Napoleon
Level 1- Denon Block
The painting is famous its historical murals. The painting depicts the coronation ceremony of Emperor Josephine. It shows the splendor of ceremony and each person is carefully shown.
6. Sleeping Hermaphroditus
This is one of the best masterpiece, if one knows the history of this beauty. This shows merging of two bodies into single being with both genders.
