Fun, Frolic, Adventure and Nightlife are all synonymous to Goa. The city is simple to understand as compared to other states of the country. It is divided into 2 regions North Goa and South Goa. And both regions are just opposite to each other in terms of activities/characteristics. North Goa, is more for party, having fun with friends. All the carnivals and festivals happen here. One can enjoy anything here from beaches, churches, forts, water sport adventures etc. While, South Goa, is more for relaxation. Grab a book or take a sun bath are the activities which one can enjoy here. Both the regions has its own charm.
I have visited this beautiful place thrice and every time it has offered me something new which I had never experienced before in my earlier trips. So alternatively I have been able to see both North & South of Goa.My second and third visit to this place is more special compared to my first. My second visit happened just before my marriage. It was my last travel as a bachelorette with my family. Also, our this visit was more for relaxing than exploring Goa, as we had already visited most of the places in our first visit. So yes, we stayed in South Goa. The hotel where we stayed was amazing. It only had 22 rooms spread across the entire land/area with all the recreational facilities swimming pool, gym, library, Jacuzzi, bar..etc. everything. The property was more famous among foreign tourist compared to Indians. There were no Indian family/couple apart from us during our stay. The scenario must have changed now. The main advantage of this resort is, it is located very near to Colva beach, we could just walk and reach in 5 mins. And to my surprize there was absolutely no noise of water in our rooms or anywhere in the resort, despite being so near to the beach.
And my third visit here is very recent. I went couple of months back. Luckily one of my closest friend got transferred here, so I got an opportunity to visit her place & meet her. This time again I stayed in North Goa and explored the city in a very different way. I always wished to have a all girls trip here, roaming on a scooty (definitely inspired by couple of movies). And yes, I my wish got fulfilled. Me and my friend went out with a car (ya scooty got replaced by a car). I loved driving here – narrow roads, hilly drive to reach forts. It was just awesome. The feeling is difficult to penn down in words.
So what all is famous here as a tourist spots –
Beaches – Almost 60%-70% of Goa is covered with beaches. North Goa beaches are more popular among tourist due to abundance of availability of budget accommodation and commercially viable options. While, South Goa beaches are more luxurious in nature.
Anjuna Beach – Although popular among tourists due lot of bars and restaurants. And one can get really anything here from cyber cafes, bikes on rent, etc. But according to me, the beach is very noisy and not that beautiful as well. There are many beaches which are more attractive, serene, very quite and beautiful.
Sinquerim Beach – Its in north goa. The beach is near to Aguada fort. It is comparatively less populated.

Miramar Beach – Its very popular north goa beach, known as chowpatty of Mumbai.

Dona Paula – One of the most popular attraction in North Goa. The sunset looks spectacular from here and the beach looks beautiful.

Colva Beach – It is in South Goa and is the longest beach here. It feels amazing to walk on this beach. Quite and serene, less populated. One can actually enjoy the beach, sun, moon in short natural beauty.
Forts – There are many Old forts preserved here in the city which actually landscapes the city with its unique and beautiful structures.
Aguada Fort – The fort and its lighthouse is well preserved Portuguese fort in Goa.

Chapora Fort – Another beautiful fort.
Churches – The goa is also known as city of Churches. There are many small and big churches along the road in every part of the city.
Church of our Lady of the Immaculate Conception – It is the oldest church situated in Panaji and is a famous landmark.
Bom Jesus Basilica
Apart from above mentioned, there are many Casinos which are part of vibrant night life played on & off shores.
And Museums for the people interested in seeing and for students in this fields.
I have always loved coming to this place.
