Neemrana, the place where i wanted to go from the day i heard about flying fox adventure. It was the major attraction for me to visit this place. So i was after my husband’s life to go there over a weekend…..

We went in Mar which is not that good season to travel as the day gets quite hot. Luckily the weather was pleasant during our visit to this place.
We preferred to drive down in our own car and stayed here for 1 night, 2 days.It was a 3 hr drive. We reached hotel at around 1 PM, post lunch went to visit the Fort, which is actually the major attraction for the tourists. There we got to know that – timing to enter the fort is before 2PM if you are not staying there.
We didn’t stay here as rooms available were way too expensive. So we preferred to stay in the hotel “Tree House Dwarka”. Decent hotel with average food and service.I have visited Tree house property situated on Jaipur highway so was expecting much more from this hotel. But overall hotel is nice and comfortable to stay. The staff is also very cordial.
So, we just walked around outside the fort and did some photo sessions with raw nature and the camels.

In the evening we enjoyed quite time at our hotel as there is not much to do in Neemrana. All the activities/places to visit are around the Fort. Staying in the hotel that evening actually gave us an opportunity to spend some good/fun time together with each other and our cutie-pie kid (generally we get too busy in our individual routine life)
Next day early morning after checkout we went to Fort as we had booked for our flying fox sessions.
First let me talk about the fort – The fort has maintained its ancient look and feel. The walk to main entrance gate from parking was a very steep walk. It gave us altogether a historical feeling. We walked/visited the entire fort. The fort provides ample opportunities for photo lovers to click and pose.
There was nothing extraordinary or unique thing that we missed by not staying inside the fort. The only thing i felt was – it would have given satisfaction of staying in a fort where maharajahs used to stay.
Coming to my adventure activity for which i went there – flying fox or zipping. I booked the first session for the activity. It is advisable to book online as one can get good discount. The overall time to complete the activity usually takes 1.30 hrs – 2 hrs, depending upon the size of the group. We were a group of 7 pax, so took 1.30 hrs only to complete.

The activity starts with a 20-30 mins trek on the Aravali mountain. After reaching the top, our guide gave us the training on what needs to be done followed by a practice session. There are total 5 zips. The second one is the longest (400 m) followed by first one (330 m), which gave the best view of the valley. Luckily i carried my phone, so was able to click good pictures. One needs to book in advance if you want a video of your tour, else there is no photograph or video available.
Post the activity we had lunch and booked for a vintage car ride. I must say sitting in that car is definitely an experience. Sitting behind is more fun than sitting in front (i tried both options). The royal feeling comes (like a king/queen) when you sit behind and the car is driven by a chauffeur.

Our tour came to an end as we headed back to our home.
It was a good break from the fast paced/monotonous life that we live in big cities.
Attraction/Things to do here: –.The Fort (if interested in history), Flying Fox/Zipping (if you are adventurous type), Vintage Car Ride, Camel Ride/Cart
Best time to Visit – Sep – Mar (summers is not a good option to visit this place, as it gets super hot during the day time, although Mar is also little hot to travel but can be managed)
great post

Thanks arv

Wonderful read and glad you got to do some adventure sports. Have written about my time there but it was a simple visit without much excitement. Not complaining though as it’s a beautiful property. Want to go back sometime and try the zip-lining for sure
