Tree House – as the name suggests, is living up on the tree-top. I never thought of any such idea until my husband suggested going to this place called Tree House Resort. It’s located at Nature Farms in the Syari Valley on the Delhi-Jaipur highway.
We went to this place in 2010. At that time, it was a new construction & the concept of living on the trees was pretty new in India. Now this place is very well-known & visited by tourists across India. We went there to relax by taking a short break from our routine lives. I never thought this idea would be so refreshing….although this concept is very popular in many European & American countries.
We started early on Saturday in our car from Delhi. After a long drive on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, we reached there by noon.
The tree house resort is located in the middle of the desert but is full of flora & fauna inside. With ample parking space & state of the art facilities like sports club, swimming pool…it offers all comforts for urban birds like us.
We received a very warm welcome from the resort staff. After the check-in formalities, we were escorted to our room. We were really lucky to get a room which was placed in a secluded area (they call it a honeymoon room J). All other trees had either 2 or 4 rooms. Ours was a tree with one nest on the top…The ‘NEST’ was very beautiful with all modern amenities like – AC, internet, hot water, TV…The tree trunk right protruding next to the bed gave it a different look altogether. We had a private garden below our room with sitting arrangements. The room also had a balcony to enjoy the overall view of the location.
After our lunch, we started our activities with Bird watching. We got bicycles (which were provided by the resort) for our Nature walk. The resort has designated tracks for the enthusiast to enjoy the myriad activities like these at leisure.
In the evening, we tried our hand at playing snooker in a sports club. Our dinner was arranged on the big lawn with a bonfire, DJ Stage, and a big TV screen to enjoy light music. We enjoyed our dinner, along with a couple of drinks, followed by a comfortable sleep in our nest. The next day, we went to a poolside. After relaxing in the water, we headed for a photo shoot. We clicked lots of photographs in different locations in the resort before we started packing back.
The idea of living in a tree nest is really amazing. You really feel like a bird…And I definitely didn’t mind living a life ‘BIRD-SIZE’ in a cozy NEST on a tree-top…So what if it was only for a day…. It is a very good place for a weekend gateway – from Delhi, Rajasthan & all nearby places. The memories are still afresh in our minds of the experience we had….and we would love to spend another day again in this beautiful nest…
